Bill Burns CAE says
The Association for Play Therapy offers its heartfelt sympathies to husband Vince and her family and friends. Patty was a highly effective member of our board of directors. Her previous service was equally distinguished, i.e. former Indiana APT president, leadership academy graduate, former chair of two committees, and former member of three other committees. Her smile, laugh, and balanced perspective were infectious. She was a star whose light thankfully shined upon all of us!
Kevin Akamu says
Patty was a miracle in our life. Her patience, guidance and pure love for the children – and families – with whom she helped will live on as a legacy forever. I have never known anyone who loved her dogs like she did as well. We are eternally grateful for the gift she was to our family and are better people for knowing her. My sincere sympathy. Thanks for sharing her with us. She will be missed.

I felt so often that Patty had saved my life, and then I was helpless to return the favor. I spent last week by the sea, and I thought of her the whole time. She loved the ocean! This kept coming to me, after having seen it in her office somewhere: “The cure for anything is salt water – sweat, tears, or the sea.” Vince and family are continually in my prayers.
