Date Of Birth: March 31, 1930
Date Of Death: September 25, 2009

Norman Richard Treon passed away Friday, September 25, 2009, after a long and brave battle with Muscular Dystrophy. Born in 1930 in Marietta, Shelby County, Indiana, in his grandparents’ house, he was the son of Lawrence “Tot” Treon and Frances Treon. Mr. Treon was attending Butler University when he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He served in Japan as an aerial photographer during reconnaissance missions. At the end of his tour of duty, he returned to Butler and graduated in 1956 with a degree in Business. During school he met his beautiful and devoted wife, Naomi R. (Hall) Treon whom he married in 1956 in Sweeny Chapel on the Butler campus. He had fond memories of Butler, the TKE house, and remained a loyal Bull Dawg basketball fan. Mr. Treon was a restaurateur in California, Illinois, and Indiana, known for his culinary expertise and owning/operating the local Mr. Steak restaurant at 21st and Shadeland for 20 years. He was an avid sports fan and genealogist but his biggest love was Jesus Christ. He will be greatly missed by his wife and dance partner, Naomi, as well as his children Brant (Andrea) Treon, Nina (Richard) Perry, Nadine Treon, grandchildren Jennafer Perry, Andrew Dillon Treon, Alexandra Darby Treon, and sister Sherry Treon Clouser. Private services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, 100 W. 86th Street or Muscular Dystrophy Association, 3300 East Sunrise Drive, Tucson, AZX 85718. Dear Treon Family,

I am not sure whether you will remember me, but I used to be your babysitter many years ago. Some of my fondest memories are of the times I spent with you in your home.
Norman was a wonderful person, talented and loving, and I know that you all have suffered a great loss.
It seems impossible to speak of any consolation in the face of such a bitter loss, but know that you all are in my prayers. God Bless.
    Karen

Dear Brant and family I was sorry to hear of the passing of your father Norman Treon. He was my 1st employer ever to work for. He was a interesting person and had a sense of duty in his job. I know why now. I was surprised to hear he was in WWII never knew that!

But I wanted to say god bless you Brant and your mother and other siblings during this emotional loss of your father. My thoughts and prayers will be with you.
