Lloyd Dwayne Rader, 83, of New Castle, went quietly to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 after battling Alzheimer’s for 4 and a half years.
He was a salesman with Singer and Moorman’s Feed Company. He was a former resident of Hagerstown, Indiana.
Lloyd graduated from Mooreland High School in 1948. Born January 26, 1930, he was the son of Grace and Harold Rader.
Lloyd was a member of Chicago Corners Church in Hagerstown, member of Eastern Star and a Mason at the Hagerstown Lodge. He enjoyed working with the FFA, water skiing, working with animals, and loved to sing.
Lloyd is survived by his five children, Steve (Gloria) Rader, Famland, Connie (Merrill) Mays, Denver, Colorado, Danny (Betty) Rader, Bridgeport, Alabama, Mary E. Rader, Nashville, Tennessee, and Sharon (Alan) Lindsey, Yorktown; ten grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; sister, Betty McClearney, New Castle; brother, Robert (Lillian) Rader, Mooreland; two stepchildren, Cinda Noble and Randy (Michelle) Stohler; and three step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean; his parents; and his brother, Howard Rader.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 15, 2013 at Antioch Christian Church in Losantville at the corner of 2nd and John Street. Burial will follow at Miller Cemetery in Middletown.
Indiana Funeral Care and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
