Story Title: With a simple smile
By: Carol Latham
You lived your life with a smile on your face. You truly had a one of a kind laugh that made me giggle every time I heard it. You lived your life the way others wish they could. Thank you so much for always thinking of my boys and spoiling them with all kinds of things you picked up at work. You taught me to always find my own sunshine in life. Each day no matter how hard it gets I find something to be happy about and hold onto it. I love you and am so happy I was able to spend time with you after your surgery. Even then you were all smiles.

Wesley McClarren says
To a Good Lady:
My companion when I was young. Showing me the finer things in life. Teaching me how to appreciate art, music and literature. Spoiling me rotten and treating me like your son. Loving me and caring for me. You did all these things Les. I miss you now and as I write this tears are falling down my face. You were a great part of my life and now you are gone from it. I will always remember the times we had. The trips we made. The plays, museums and events you took me to. To this day all I have to hear is the music from “The Nutcracker Suite” and I smile. I love you. Go to your rest. You have earned it. Your body just couldn’t handle the disease anymore. I understand this and I know you were in pain from it. Now you aren’t anymore. Go see your mom and Uncle Billy again. We will meet again one day. Then we can hang out like old times and go see whatever play we want. I Love You, Les!
Rest in Peace.
Leslie
A Grand Dame who had love that knew no bounds.
You loved all your “nieces and nephews” as your own
children. We love you even now for you are in our
hearts and minds forever.
You taught us to it was okay to be happy. Its okay to be sad.
You taught us life can be as easy or as hard as we make it.
You taught us how to appreciate the simple things in life.
You taught us how to see God in all the things around us.
Now you are with God and are watching over us all.
We love you and miss you already even though you
have only been gone for a little bit. We will always hold
memories of you and cherish them when things in our
day to day lives remind us of you. You aren’t feeling the
pain you were going through anymore and you are
reunited with your mother and father once again.
So go on to your rest. You have deserved it and your body
couldn’t hold the bright shining soul that was inside it which
is why you had to go. We love you.

To my beloved wife, Leslie. Our time here on earth was not long enough, but they were the happiest 5 years of my life. Thank you you for being my wife. I love and miss you dearly. I know you’re in a better place.

I work at the Meijers store that Leslie was employed at. I remember how friendly she was. She will be greatly missed.
Darrest Whitney says
To a person whom I known for a very long time. We had a lot of fun working at LS Ayres over the years. And good ones at Meijers. I will miss you my friend! You are in God’s hands now and he will be there for you. Good bye friend with love.

I believe that you were looking down on us today as we laid you to rest. I hope Leslie that you would be proud to know that you were and are loved by so many. The sun was shinning brightly today and I know that was because you were up in heaven smiling so brightly down on us. “So in your final heartbeat, you kiss the world goodbye, and go in peace and laugh on glory’s side…and fly to Jesus, fly to Jesus, fly to Jesus and live.” See you again someday on Glory’s side.
