    Dear Carey and Girls:
I was saddened to hear of Laurie’s passing. My fondest memories are of our early days at Lake St. Louis.
Laurie’s life was not ordinary, her life was well-live and well-loved, a life that will be deeply missed.
Thinking and praying for you in your time of sorrow.

We are so very sad that Laurie has left Carey and her family. However, we rejoice in knowing that we will all be together in a better place with the Lord.
Until then we shall be thankful for her joy and bright spirit.
    Love always,
Cece, Jim, Jac, Matt & Doug Currie

As I sit here trying to put into words my memories of Laurie. She was the most unique person that I have ever met. We called each other “the other mother” due to the fact that her daughter Connie and I have been good friends for a very long time and was able to share alot
of everyday difficulties. Laurie always had a bible verse for me to get me thru a situation. I loved her for that. She will be surely missed by all. My thoughts and prayers are with you Carey, Connie, Cheri and family. Love you all..

    Dear Carey and Family,

Though it has been many years since our teaching days at Shady Lane, I will always remember Laurie’s bright smile and her friendliness. She was a wonderful person and teacher. My sympathy to all of you and may your fond memories of Laurie and the fact that she made this world a better place bring you comfort in the days ahead.

My sister will be sorely missed – by many, many people. She had a unique ability to light up any room she entered, and make everyone feel special.

We are so sorry for your loss. Laurie was a wonderful person and will be missed by all. Living in Tennessee didn’t give us much of an opportunity to visit, but when we did, Laurie and that wonderful smile of hers always made our family feel so welcomed and special. Though we can’t be there, please know our thoughts are.

We were so sorry to hear of your loss. While I never had the opportunity to meet Laurie, I’m sure her graces that were passed down to our friend Cheri are an indication of what a great person she was. The Indianapolis Chapter of CSI will be making a donation to the American Cancer Society in her honor and you’ll be in our thoughts and prayers.
