Dear Laura’s family – My deepest sympathy and condolences for the loss of loving wife, a mother, a grandmother, and to so many of us, a dear friend. It was so unexpected… It was so wrong… I knew Laura for many years – wonderful years of close friendship with a very special bound. She was a dear friend. Every Christmas we will go to the shows or ballet and pickup a “Holiday spirit”, every big life occasions or Birthdays of mine were celebrated with Laura. She was my teacher, a mentor and a special friend. She left deep footprints in my book of life. Now, its a void- a total loneliness and emptiness that will be replaced with a cherished memories of Laura. My thoughts and prayers are with you. “The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul.” 23rd Psalm

I am very sorry to hear of Laura’s death. She and I volunteered together at Dress for Success Indianapolis for the past 11 years or more. What a dynamo! Laura brought passion and energy with her to Dress for Success and the women clients she worked with were the lucky beneficiaries. She made them feel special, not just about the clothes she would help them pick out, but about their futures as they re-entered the workforce. Invariably, her clients would walk out the door with a pin or a scarf — Laura loved pins and always said they completed an outfit. I will always remember that about her!
She was a beautiful lady. Laura always showed up at Dress for Success looking fabulous — I was so envious of the outfits she could put together and how she looked in them. I will miss working with her.
My condolences to her entire family. How she lit up when she told me she was going to California or to visit her children. I am sorry that I will be out of town for the service.

My condolences go out to your family at this time. Laura was an amazing woman who I count myself lucky to have known through her tireless volunteer work with Dress for Success Indianapolis. She was instrumental in setting up our first boutique and her mark on this organization is undeniable. I always appreciated her candor and wisdom.
Her passion and dedication to our organization was unmatched. Like clockwork, Laura lit up our lives every month. Watching her work with the women we serve was always a pleasure. Her ability to make them feel confidant, prepared and professional was truly a gift. Laura gave a piece of herself to each and every woman she worked with.
We will miss her spirit and presence, but are left with many wonderful memories of how she helped shape Dress for Success Indianapolis and the over 200 women she served through volunteering with us. My thoughts are with you all and thank you for allowing me to share how special she was.

My deepest sympathy goes out to all of the family of Laura. I will certainly miss her very much. She was and always will be to me one of the sweetest people that I was blessed enough to know in this short life that we have here on earth. She was a bright light in a sometimes dark world that we live in. I had the privilege of knowing her over many years, and even had the pleasure of staying at her place in San Francisco for a week while she was in Indy. That was just one of many kind and generous memories that will remain with me always. May God comfort and Bless you all at this very difficult time in your lives.
