Larry Lee McLain of Indianapolis was born on July 15, 1945 in Indianapolis. He passed away at home on October 17, 2010. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank McLain, and daughter, Larissa Kay McLain.

Larry attended Garden City Elementary School and Ben Davis High School. He retired from Allison Engine in 1995 after 30 years of service. He was a member of the American Diabetes Association and American Rifle Association.

Larry is survived by his wife, Sherilee; daughter, Leigh Anne McLain; stepdaughters, Lisa Potter (Jack), Amy T. Flood (Steve); and grandchildren, Asher McLain, Shaylyn Zachery, Camryn Zachery, Lacy McLain, Zach, Alec, and Jarrod Harris, and Kaitlyn Flood.

An open house in memory of Larry will be held on Sunday, October 24th, 2010 at 128 Lakeview Court South, Greenfield, Indiana from 2 to 6 p.m. Memorial gifts may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 1701 N. Beauregard St., Alexandria, VA 22311 and American Heart Association, 6100 W. 96th St. Ste. 200, Indianapolis, IN 46278. Flowers will be received at 128 Lakeview Court South, Greenfield.
