Moving forward without the sunshine of Julie Brown won’t be an easy task. But we know she would tell us to “celebrate” and live life. Her spirit continues in her shadow of all those she met. I was blessed to be called a friend.
May her special family know that we care so much and wish we could lift you up. Thank you God for our Downtown Julie Brown’s life ,for we have been blessed and will miss her so much.

Julie was one of our group of Shortridge High School “girls” whose most recent reunion was last October in North Carolina. What will we do without her? Her laugh, her sincere interest in everyone and her courage made her quite a lady! Please accept my heartfelt sorrow at your loss. It is our loss, too.

That wide smile and graciousness was apparent even when she was 16/17/18. Julie was a fellow Blue Devil, class of ’59. I last saw her at the first SHS All-Class reunion and tried to keep up with her via other classmates and her website. May God enfold her and give her family peace. Jim (SHS ’58) and I extend our deepest sympathy to her family and friends.

Julie’s Family: I met her, worked with her, visited her, and very very much loved her in the short time I knew her. We are Shortridge Always Committee members. Her personality and bright smile were wonderful to experience; her Ripple cottage was a delight. I shall miss her continually, and hope for peace in all your lives in the by and by of this life.

To the family of Julie. How fleeting are the moments that are afforded each to touch a life. Through a part of her family, I was fortunate to have shared an evening with Julie and bathed in her cheerful countenance. I only learned through this guestbook that she and I were SHS grads. Thank you Bill and Judy for sharing her with me and for your light as well.
love,
dee anne

Scott, Douglas, David, Carole and Bill and family,
I am so sorry that I was unable to be with you and all your family on Friday. Please know that I was with you and Julie in spirit.
I know that you will never fill the empty void that has been left by Julie, but what a wonderful Mom, sister, grandmother and friend she was to all. We were all so fortunate to have had her in our lives.
I feel so lucky that our SHS group of girls had such a wonderful reunion last October in North Carolina. I was in the same house when I received the message of Julie’s passing and it helped to remember all the wonderful times we all had together.
Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all. Love, Judy
