I remember meeting Jay when he first started at State Life many years ago. I also had the pleasure of meeting and working with his son Jason when we both worked together at Conseco. I was always impressed with Jay’s underwriting knowledge and skill. He will be missed.

I knew Jay from his underwriting days at State Life where we shared many conversations. He was always such a joy to talk to and had such a great sense of humor. My prayer for you is that God’s love will hold you in this time of your great loss.

To Jay’s Family
He will be missed by all those whose lives he touched both professionally and personally. I will especially miss the twinkle in his eyes and his ability to make me smile.

To the entire Hale family, our deepest sympathies. To my long time friend Paul, losing your brother is difficult and you are in our thoughts. While “J” was older than us and we hung around with different friends, I know he still probably thinks I am at fault for knocking over the mirror dresser when we all helped he and Ginny move. I hope he forgave me in time (even though the wind did it) and can laugh about it. He is in a better place now and all of you are in our prayers.

To Jay’s Family,
I met Jay in the late ’70’s, he was truly one of the funniest people I ever met. We were young underwriter’s trying to figure out which case was true & which case was fiction.
Jay, thanks for the memories & the stories, you will be missed.
