I am the plant manager at Von Duprin, where John last worked. At work, John was known as the “candy man”. He would always have candy with him and would share it with everyone. One day he even brought in popsicles for the entire assembly line. These are just some of the ways that John showed how much he cared about others. Everyone I spoke with described him as a “really nice guy”. He made a big impression on everyone at the plant and we will all miss him. He was a wonderful person and we are all fortunate to have met him. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends during this difficult time.
Sincerely,
-John Schostek

I worked with John as his supervisor for about the last 3 years. I am so sorry for your loss. John will be missed at Von Duprin. He was always a pleasure to be around. He always had a smile on his face. Not too often do you find a very good worker, with a great attitude. John was that type of person. They called him the candy man at Von Duprin. He alway had candy, frozen push pops, fruit or snack cakes to share with everyone.
May God Bless and comfort you.
