James Arnold Joseph, 55, died May 17, 2009, in Clearwater, Florida.He was the son of James and late Dorothy Joseph.He accepted Christ at an early age and graduated from Bennett Catholic School in 1971. He later joined the Army where he was stationed in Germany. He was Honorably Discharged in 1979. He worked for LCLC and did various activities around the community. He later planted roots in Clearwater, Florida, where he attended college to recieve his degree in English. He lectured at various colleges and events. He became a minister and wrote a book.Survivors include his father, James O. Joseph, children, Tonya (Charlie) Scaife, Lanetta Joseph (Pete Bal) and Tyrone Joseph, all of Marion; brother, Keith Joseph, Texas; sisters, Felicia (Charlie) Joseph, Jackson, Texas, and Sharmaine Joseph, Michigan.He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Joseph.Services are at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 30 at Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor Al Green officiating, with visitation from noon to 1:00 at the church. Burial will be at Marion National Cemetery in June 1.
