Jacque Louise Wetzel-Leadbetter passed after an unexpected illness Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield, IN. Jacque was born May 6, 1954 in Richmond, Indiana to Norman and Betty Wetzel. Jacque was a beloved Wife, Daughter, Mother, Sister, Aunt, Grandmother, and friend.
Jacque excelled at making all those around her feel special and loved. She often reminded us to focus on life’s journey rather than life’s destination.
She touched countless lives and hearts during her 59 year journey with us and will be sorely missed. She is survived by her husband, Dan Leadbetter of Greenfield, IN; her mother, Betty J. Wetzel, 80, AZ; a sister, Jeannie Wetzel, 53, AZ; her two sons, Norman (Coty) Smith 38, of New Paris, OH and Sean Smith of AZ; grandchildren, Madison Rae of AZ, and Norman Logan of New Paris, OH; niece, Laura (Tim) Wetzel-Attwaters, 31, AZ, and their children, Ryland Wetzel 14, Liam Attwaters 8, Emma Attwaters 4; and her cousin and best friend, Debbie Cox of Centerville, IN. Jacque was preceded in death by her father Norman E. Wetzel, and grandmother Laura Helton. Arrangements were made by Indiana Funeral Care and Crematory.
