It was a real shock to hear the sad news, especially after just talking on the phone to her the day before. I will always remember “Aunt” Evon for being a big tease and for her kindness, generosity and big heart.
She loved life, people and always giving to others. She will be greatly missed. May her memory live on forever.

I am shocked and very, very sad. Evon visited my mother just a week ago. I didn’t get a chance to thank her in person for the many kindnesses she has shown to my mother and others. Evon was a giver. She will be greatly missed by all of us. We send our sincerest condolences to Mark, Alan, Dina, Mash, George and all the family members.

Dear Dina and family,
I saw your mother’s obituary in the newspaper and my heart went straight to you. Though she and I met only briefly, I knew her through her bright, witty, bold daughter who was my pleasure to teach and watch grow. May the peace of God which passes all understanding come to comfort you at this time.
My very best to you all,
Missy

Dear Dina, Mark, Alan and Sotiris,
I feel so sad at the loss of your Mom. She was a wonderful, kind, and generous lady. There will never be anyone else quite like her. She’s wrapped up in all my childhood memories of Dina and I running around being silly. As loud as her house sometimes got – I just loved every second of it, because you always could feel the love.
She’ll be terribly missed. You and all your family are in my prayers.
Love,
Mary (Shannon) Burcher

Mark and Dina, you may remember me as “Lee Ann’s Mother.” Our mutual friend was your cousin, Carla Off. It was always a pleasure to go in to the Keystone Deli and be greeted by Vonnie and family. There was such a family feeling there, and the food was just great. I’ve never had tabouli (sp?)to equal hers. What a delightful lady she was, with that great big smile.

To Evon’s daughter, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and brothers
With tears rolling down my cheeks when I heard of your loss, my memoies with Evon were countless –
the good times we had together, the constant telephone calls we made to each other and being with her when I lived in Indianapolis. She had such a warmth and giving nature. She will always be in my thoughts.
I was one of those who was blessed having her as a friend. Memory eternal to one who hovers over us with the angels. Much love

To the whole Poulos family, brothers, and all of the neices and nephews she loved as her own,
We will sorely miss another wonderful giving woman in our circle. Aunt Evon was loved by all of us and although our time was minimal with her the love was not. CJ will always remember the times she would bring him pistachios over to my Sitti and Giddo’s on Radnor and visit. Haley and Terry and I will remember her great laugh, sense of humor, the love of entertaining, and how she always made you feel special. One small comfort is knowing that we all just have ONE MORE angel to protect and guide us.
Prayers to all of you for your loss!
Love,
Lisa, Terry, Haley, and CJ
