Evelyn Gertrude Hunter, 58, of Zionsville, passed away, Friday, August 7, 2009. She is survived by two daughters, Linda & Stacy Hunter; two sons, Steve & Jeff Hunter; one granddaughter, Allison; two sisters, Doris Clinger, Marti (Dennis) Van Court; four brothers, John (Barbara) Harris, Jr., Jim (Helen) Harris, Sr., Bob (Kathy) Harris, Andy (Liz) Harris. Visitation will be Sunday, August 9 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Zionsville Presbyterian Church, 4775 W. 116th St, Zionsville. Funeral service will be at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, August 10 at the church.

My prayers and condolences to Evelyn’s family at the loss of such a wonderful lady. I worked with Evelyn at the Zionsville Post Office. I worked as a clerk there retiring in 2003 and always remember her as a joy to work with.

When I think of Evelyn I think of a kind, soft spoken, patient woman. Strong, independent, and very, very hard working. I was amazed at how she never complained and would just smile! When I think of Evelyn I will always see her pulling back her long hair, her light laugh and shy smile. Bless you Evelyn and your children, siblings, family and friends.

I am heartbroken at the loss of my big sister, Evvy. I am glad that she is in Heaven, and no longer in pain, but will miss her. I am very grateful for all of the friends & co-workers who came to her showing and/or funeral.
