Emily Woods-Schipper, 56, of Colfax, IN. passed away on February 4, 2012. She is survived by her father Joseph Woods, husband; Steven Schipper, daughter; Brooke Willis, sons; Kristopher Mullendore, and Kerry Mullendore, stepchildren; Misty Walsh, Brooke Coella, Drew Schipper, Stacy Brown, Suzanne Henry, and 17 grandchildren. Emily is preceded in death by her mother Alice Woods and grandson Gavin Willis. She graduated from Frankfort, High School and later graduated from Ivy Tech State College with a degree in nursing. Emily enjoyed cruising and traveling, spending time with her family and working with her special needs children. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to The Wea Ridge Middle School Life Skills Class in Lafayette, IN. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Hawthorne Hall and Laura’s Catering, 2120 S. State Rd. 39. Frankfort, IN from Noon to 4pm. I am deeply sorry to hear that Emily died. I’ve worked with her in her work with in the schools. Emily had a special touch with the children, and we feel so lucky to have been able to get to know her. She was always a lot of fun, but she was a wonderful nurse.
