    Dear Craig and family,

Audrey and I will be in Detroit for some business training on Thursday. We are leaving about noon on Wed. and will not be returning until Fri. night. We want you to know that we will be praying for you all. We trust that you will know God’s conforting presence that “passes all understanding” in this time of loss for all of us, but especially for you.

It is so good to know where Ed is today and to know that his suffering is over. Certainly, our loss is his gain, and we could wish no better for him.

Again, we are sorry that we cannot celebrate his homegoing with you.

    In Christian love,

    Jim and Audrey Weaver

    Dear Craig,

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your brothers at this difficult time. I never had the pleasure of meeting your father, but, judging by his sons, he must have been a very fine man. Perhaps I can offer a bit of help; when my parents went to the Lord, I found the following very helpful and comforting: “And ye now therefore have sorrow, but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.” (John 16:22)

    Very Sincerely Yours, Pablo

Sending sympathy and prayers to all who knew and loved Ed. He was a favorite cousin. Never will I forget that when I was 16, he let me drive his new Pontiac Bonneville what a thrill!

I know this is a very tough time as I went through the same thing 10 years ago. Your father was a very good person as well as a faithful Christian.
I remember when Ed helped my Dad and I with moving my dad’s belongings to the condo he lived out his final years. He was always there to help others in need.
You should be very proud to say that Ed Gilbert was your father.
