Edith Windhorst Freeland, 86, of Indianapolis, passed away Saturday April, 11. Born March 15, 1923 in Greenfield, IN, she earned a BS in Architecture from the University of Cincinnati in 1950. She worked for several architecture firms in Indianapolis between 1950 and 1964, receiving her Indiana architect’s license in 1958. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Mervin R. “Picc” Freeland: son and daughter-in-law, John and Wendy Freeland: and two grandsons, Jacob and A.J. Freeland.Memorial Service plans are pending. Memorial contributions, in lieu of flowers, should be made to the Children’s Shriners Hospital.
