Devin James Hyatt, 21, of Brazil Indiana, died December 3rd at Union Hospital. He was born November 9th, 1988, in Vigo County, Indiana, to Mitchell and Kimberly (Mitten) Hyatt. He graduated from Northview H.S., May 2007; and attended Ivy Tech, Terre Haute. He was a partner in Hyatt and Sons Construction.Devin was actively involved in the Clay Youth Football League as a coach and referee. He enjoyed attending his brothers sporting events.At the age of 15 he began working with his dad at Hyatt and Sons Construction. Devin was an avid Chicago Bears fan. He was a loyal, compassionate, and loving person, who will be greatly missed.He was proceeded in death by grandfather Jimmie Ray Hyatt. He is survived by his parents; siblings, Damon, Dylan and Jinna Hyatt; grandparents Mary Hyatt and Bill Sneddon; Randall and Linda Mitten; aunts and uncles, Susan Hyatt, Tom and Brandy Hyatt, Forrest and Traci Skelton, Sam Sneddon, Bob and Melanie Walker; several cousins; and special friend Cleta Baker and sons David and William.Visitation is scheduled for 4-8PM, December 8th, and 11AM-12, December 9th, at Berea Christian Church. Services will be held 12PM, December 9th, at Berea Christian Church with Pastor Tom Hess officiating.Private graveside services will follow at Calcutta Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Clay County Youth Football League, c/o 1st Financial Bank in Brazil.

    Devin and I shared some great times growing up. We were like best friends and siblings. I’ll never forget each precious memory. We grew older and went separate ways, but I always considered him my friend. I know he is greatly loved and will be deeply missed. The Hyatt family will remain in my and my family’s prayers.

    I met Devin in middle school and we became good friends. We lost touch after high school as that sometimes happens.
