He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Kathy; the mother of his sons, Miriam Nelson; two sons, Darrell (Sammi) Nelson and Darrin (Majenica) Nelson; a stepson, Theodore Prochnow; and 7 grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren and 3 step-great-grandchildren.
