Dari,
We had such a great time cheering together at Warren. I’ll never forget our matching cheer camp outfits and our crazy antics.(running through the sprinklers at camp) Although we haven’t seen each other in a long time, I have often thought of you and our group of friends. I remember our late night White Castle runs with Kathy, Phil, Roger and Tom…camping, dancing and just great fun. You will be missed!
God Bless…
Love,
Dena

To Darilyn’s Family,
I was one of Darilyn’s student teachers at Eastridge. She was a great mentor to me. I remember her name had changed over Christmas break to King ( I started student teaching in January)- she had just gotten married. That was also the year we were absolutely shocked by the Challenger tragedy. That has been 20 years ago! That year everyone in the class got strep throat except Darilyn and one student! We lost touch after a few years, but I think of her often! The name Darilyn caught my eye in the newspaper- I thought could she have a different last name now? Darilyn is such a rare name. I read the obituary and realized that sadly it was the same Darilyn that I knew! God Bless and know that your mom/sister made a lasting impression on and will be fondly remembered by hundreds of children!

To All,
I taught with Dari for years at Eastridge. She always had a smile on her face and a friendly hello! She touched hundreds of 1st graders that were lucky to have her as their first teacher ever! I’ll miss her and count myself lucky to have known and worked with her!
