Christina Marie Schaefer, 64, passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2012, in Indianapolis. Born in Indianapolis, she is the daughter of the late Alonzo and Caroline Brown. Christina worked as a Registered Nurse in Fort Wayne for many years. She is survived by her daughters, Rebecca Schaefer and Tracy Schaefer of Fort Wayne, Jennifer (Dallas) Gates of Indianapolis, and her son, Andrew Schaefer of Indianapolis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ricky Schaefer. Memorial Service is 2 p.m. Saturday, April 14, 2012, at St. Michael Lutheran Church, 2131 Getz Rd., Fort Wayne, IN. The pictorial viewing will be held from 12pm-2pm.

I have many wonderful memories of Chris. Most recently was a trip to Markle we made to go swimming and soak up the sun. Chris came prepared with her umbrella and lotion and cover up. I think there might have been a little sun on her big toe! 🙂 Of course afterwards we had to hit cold stone creamery to cool down our sunburns! She was so much fun! May you all be filled with many beautiful memories and always feel surrounded by her love!
