Story Title: 7th Grade Cooking
By: Kathy Maynard Anderson
I have told this story several times over the years. I even told it to his Grandmother McIntosh when she was living at Millers Merry Manor in Tipton. I was in 7th grade and Mr.McIntosh was the boys P.E. teacher at Tipton Jr. High. All of the girls had a crush on Mr.M. I had a cooking class and we learned how to make eggs, bacon, biscuits and ect. Well at the end of the semester we were allowed to show off our skills. We could invite a teacher for breakfast. Our table chose Mr.M. and I was the one picked to ask him. He accepted! We were so excited. We made all the food right down to the fresh sqeezed orange juice. He showed up right on time. There were 4 of us and him. He was so sweet to us we talked and ate.Hetold us how good it was and thanked us. We were on cloud nine. I have never forgotten how nice it was of him to come and eat with us girls. A really sweet man and teacher.I hate that he’s not still on this earth. He will be missed by me when I tell this story in the some time again in the future.
