Bruce Thomas Jasaitis age 61 passed away peacefully at home after a long battle with cancer on Aug.27 with his devoted wife of 24 yrs.Deborah by his side.Bruce was born to Peter(deceased) and Iris Jasaitis on Nov.15, 1947 in Chicago, Il.Bruce is survived by his grandsons who where the joy of his life Paul William Lawson III and Nehemiah Thomas Medcalf.Step-daughter Sheri Medcalf.His brother Peter Jasaitis Jr.(Sandy) and his sisters Patricia Hadari(Robert), Iris Fogarassy, Susan Tripp and Ann Bjugstad(Mark).There will be no service.

My dear Debbie and family,
I worked with Bruce first at the Plainfield prison, then in the HIV dept at ISDH. He was like a brother to me.
I express deep sorrow to the family he so loved and talked incessantly about. Because he sat across from me, he told me all the particulars about his mom, child, grandchildren, brother and sisters. He was so fond of you, Debbie.
I have many times admired his endurance with his condition, continuing to work when he was feeling so badly. He tried to keep a sense of humor about life even when times were the worst. Debbie, he appreciates everything you did for him and now I’m sure he is feeling much better.
