Betty Joan Laverty, 80, passed away November 8, 2010 at her home following an extended illness.
She was born January 20, 1930 in Fulton, NY, the daughter of Ellsworth and Lena Farr. She was raised in Michigan, and was involved in real estate throughout her life. Her passion was spending time with her family and friends, and working alongside her husband, Ralph, who passed away in 1994.
Her survivors include her granddaughters, Marcie Boyer, Indianapolis, and Lisa Cochrum, Belleville, IL; her great-grandchildren, Riley Boyer, and Elizabeth Cochrum; her daughter, Judy Hanna, Mobile, AL.
She was preceded in death her daughter, Marsha Hungerford.
