Bernard “Bernie� Roberts, 69, of Indianapolis passed away February 16, 2011 at his home.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Phebe (Schnepf) Roberts of Indianapolis;
four children, Jennifer (Simon) Jorgenson of Cincinnati, Jodi (Ron) Pitcock of Greenwood, Rod Wilson of Scottsburg and Kyle (Grace) Wilson of Upland, CA; six grandchildren, Aven Jorgenson, Haleigh Pitcock, Blake and Courtney Wilson,
Nathalie Brennan and Fatima Iwasaki; four brothers, Loren Roberts, Forrest Roberts, Tom Roberts and Don Roberts and a sister, Wilma Jean Sloan.
He retired from Housing & Urban Development (Indianapolis) in 2010, where he worked as a Property Manager for 23 years. He enjoyed Civil War re-enacting and woodworking.
A memorial gathering to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at 1:00 at Acton Baptist Church, 11039 Exchange St., Indianapolis, IN 46259. Pastor Marie Weiss will be conducting the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the re-enactors’ group, Hoosier Civil War Artillery Assoc., 2509 Euchlid Ave., Muncie, IN 47304.
