I thought of something else I would like to say. I will always remember the time Alvin and his family came for a visit to our house in TN. We all went white water rafting down the Ocoee River. He loved that and talked frequently about how much fun it was.

I remember when I was in college in Springfield, MO. I was engaged to Al’s Brother, Don. Al and Don were in the Navy. When they came home on leave Al and his girlfriend and Don would come to see me in Springfield. Al and Don would rent motorcycles and the four of us would ride around Springfield. That was a lot of fun.

My condolances to the entire Warren family. I served with Al and his brother, Don, in Fighter Squadron 31. My God! We were always having great times together, thick or thin, and every now and then, I recall those wild days and have a real good laugh. Al was a care free and honest man. He always knew how to liven things up. He was loyal to his Navy buddies that were loyal to him, and he had many. So, Al…” Tip the can gently and drink till it’s empty, for you’re a young sailor, and it will do you no harm…..” God bless you Al, say hi to all our other buddies that have already passed on when you get to heaven. It probably won’t be long till we all have a wild and crazy reunion together. Hang in there Don, He is in a better place now. I forwarded your email to Bob Parker in Ohio.
