I met Mr. Myers but once. He was a charmer with his china blue eyes and boyish smile.
    Outrageous? Sometimes.
    Inappropriate? Rarely
Cool? I sure did think so.
    Dull? Never it seemed.
    A forever memorable first impression……

    To The Family,
Uncle Al was a favorite. He always made me smile. His generosity with his time and his wine will never be forgotten. He was a giving and loving man that brings sweet thoughts to mind. His chess skills too were something to brag about!

Uncle Al will be missed. My prayers and thoughts are with my cousins and the family during this trying time.

My Uncle Al was greatly admired by me ~ ~ from the age of five (5) and until his passing. We were living in Phoenix, Arizona, when he got out of the service. My mother (Eathel) was his sister, so he hitch hiked (as I recall) to Arizona for a visit. One day, he surprised we three sisters (his nieces) with bright red scooters! Can’t you just picture him and his ’cute grin’ when he saw our reactions to his gift?! As an adult, I’ve always been impressed with his writings. His ’thinking’ was so far beyond my intelligence, which made it impossible for me to begin to understand his theories. Yet, I’m proud to own copies of some of those manuscripts. His ability to be a top-notch chess player was quite impressive, and I enjoyed listening to him tell of his accomplishments. Uncle Al was a precious part of my life, and I will miss him greatly. When Uncle Al visited his brother Roy’s family in the 1950’s, he performed magic tricks to entertain the three kids. I still remember his vanishing-cigarette trick.

Later, I learned to appreciate Uncle Al for his story telling and great sense of humor. He was an inspiration who kept the Mark Twain spirit alive.
