Date Of Birth: October 20, 1983
Date Of Death: July 25, 2013

Adam Ray Fuller, 29, Greenwood, entered Heaven on July 25th, 2013 following an accidental death while fishing. Adam was born October 20, 1983 to Dennis and Renee Fuller. He married Cortney (Minnix) Fuller on November 10, 2012 and they shared the joy of family with his son, Elijah Fuller. Adam’s greatest love and devotion was, first and foremost, to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and to his family and friends.

Adam attended Plainfield High School and played 4 years of football, including a state title game. He then graduated from IUPUI in 2009. Adam was an entrepreneur and business owner since his college days. His most recent successful business venture was owning and operating Big Boy’s Construction Inc. with his business partner, Mark Andrew. Aside from professional achievements, Adam enjoyed years of body building accomplishments and mixed martial arts.

Adam used his free time to be an excellent husband and father, son and brother, always putting his family first. He loved fishing, kayaking, hiking, picnicking and anything that allowed him to be in God’s creation with his friends and family. Adam had his hobbies, cars, and toys, but what he enjoyed the most was sharing those things with the people he loved. Adam’s passion for intentional conversations led him to share about his faith, his love for knowledge and his life experiences with everyone. His spirit of generosity and loyalty impacted many people and the effects are still felt today. Although Adam’s life was short, each day was an exciting adventure lived out enthusiastically and fearlessly.

Adam is survived by his wife, Cortney Fuller; Son, Elijah Fuller; Parents, Dennis and Renee Fuller; Sisters, Dana (Matthew) Stoltz and Erin Shelton; Niece, Blakely, and many more beloved family members. He was preceded in death by his Grandfathers, William Ray Fuller and Kenneth Neal.
Services honoring Adam’s life will be held at College Park Church, 2606 W. 96th St. Indianapolis, where he attended with his family regularly. Visitation will be from 4-8pm Wednesday July 31, 2013 and from 9-10am Thursday August 1, 2013. The funeral service will begin at 10am Thursday August 1. Adam will be laid to rest in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood, Indiana.

It was a pleasure to reconnect with Adam this past year. Jesus Christ had changed his life, and therefore we do not weep without hope. Nevertheless, we do weep, because Adam was a blessing to his family and friends. We miss you, Adam. May our great God comfort us by reminding us that you are in His mighty presence. I look forward to worshipping Jesus with you in eternity.

Adam and I became good friends in school. In middle school he was the leader of shop class, and I was the assistant, I don’t think he was too thrilled to share the role of leading the class with a girl! haha I think once he realized how shy I was it became a challenge to get to know me. We got to be good friends and I quickly realized that Adam was a really good guy! He was also very smart. He had a good heart and a good head on his shoulders. He was like a brother because he always wanted nothing but the best for me. So if I was being a stupid teenager he wouldn’t let me get away with it without letting me know what he thought about it. He really made an impact on me. He was very passionate about life and really tried to live every day to it’s fullest without ever forgetting where he was from. He taught me to love every day and to go after my dreams. We have lost such a wonderful person. But I will never forget him and the example he was to us all. My heart goes out to his family and friends during this hard time. Please know that although his life was cut short he made the most of each and every day and has touched so many people’s lives.

Adam was not just a friend he was a brother to me and my sister. My mom loved him as a son and even made him his “special” breakfast when he would come to Cincinnati to stay, which was pretty frequent. I watched him grow from a boy to a man. He became a father and a husband right before our eyes. I have never met someone more caring, honest and trusting as Adam. He has been there when I needed him most and watched me become a father. We would call and talk for hours about everything, would even drive 2 hours just to work out together. Brother, we miss you and I know you are up there looking down on us and will lead us in the right direction. I love you, we all love you and one day we will meet again.

To the Fuller Family: I just met Adam over a year ago, but in that short time I saw the huge impact he had on my boyfriend’s life. He always talked about Adam and how great of a friend he was to him. When I got to meet him for the first time I immediatley saw the good hearted man that I had heard so much about. I was privileged enough to be at his wedding and see the love of his life and his beautiful son. Adam, I thank you for all you have done for the man in my life and I am so happy you were able to meet our daughter. With thoughts and prayers always…Kelly

Adam was a wonderful loving friend to both of my sons, he was always someone who was there for both of them. Although he was Marks buddy, he became Travis’s friend later in life also. The “Colt Drive” gang..Adam, Nathan Fletcher, Markie Starlin and Mark had a very special bond growing up. They not only had alot of fun but have continued to stand by each other in a loving way with all of life’s challenges..Adam of course being the ring leader in holding the friendships together and keeping in touch. I will never forget the time Adam and Mark went “fishing” in the creek only to drag back with them a super duper size carp fish..they thought they caught a giant size catfish and were smiling from ear to ear so proud! High School Football with the Plainfield Quakers was another high point..Adam was always serious and motivated to win win win and kept the whole team motivated. I also enjoyed many long wonderful heart to heart talks with Adam, he loved to talk and share and he also loved to share his love for Jesus Christ, he always tried to turn a negative situation into a positive one and with lots of care concern and love. I will personally miss Adam with all my heart he was and still is a HUGE part of my family’s life…He was ALWAYS there for both of my sons in times of need and I thank him for his continued love, faith and commitment to leading his life for the good of others..We will miss you Adam but we also know you are in Heaven waiting for us all cheering us on day to day to meet you in the kingdom of Heaven..Peace of Christ Adam and Thanks for being you!

Dear Fuller Family, I was stricken with great sorrow when I learned about the passing of Adam. I have many great memories of him and the whole family from many many years ago but it seems like it was just yesterday we were little kids running around the church being crazy. It warms my heart hearing about how Adam’s love for Christ was, that gives me great joy of knowing we will see him again in a better place and dance down streets of gold with him. I’ve always loved your family and admired the great Godly example you are to your kids and so many others. You are all in my thoughts and prayers as you go through this difficult time of saying goodbye to your loved one. Our life on earth is temporary but our life in heaven is eternal and we will get to spend our eternal heavenly lives rejoicing with God and Adam. I love you all

    Sincerely,

    Cory Merriman

Adam, may the Lord embrace you and his light shine on you! To the family my thoughts and prayers in this time. I spent most of my time with Adam when he was in junior high and high school coaching him on sports teams with my son Joshua, taking him on trips, one trip to Chicago to visit the Marine Center when I was stationed there. We had a lot of fun, then after they graduated high school went separate ways, I lost touch, Adam was genuine, caring and focused- when he set his mind and heart on something. When he and my son were together, they made me laugh so hard to tears – typical teenage boys! I’m smiling now just remembering! If I can help in any way do not hesitate to contact! The days and months ahead will be difficult, as much as it may seem you are not alone, the Lord has his purpose, we must cry now and many more times as the years pass never forgetting Adam and the time we had with him, thanking the Lord for that time and asking our Lord to help ease our pain and continue to pray for the hope to be reunited with him for eternity when the time is set.
    In Christ Always,
    Robin White
